The vision of Grand Design Productions (GDP) started in 1999 when John Douglas, President of GDP, set out to create faith-based, family-friendly entertainment with valuable spiritual and moral messages for people of all cultures, races, ages and creeds. The challenge was to create a series of inspirational stories and films that would appeal to a broad spectrum of people.

Our approach is to provide popular entertainment properties that will cause audiences of all persuasions to stop, watch, laugh and learn. Our goal is to create entertainment properties that will touch each viewer on a personal level. GDP boasts an impressive roster of gifted, dedicated, and experienced artists, writers, musicians and businessmen who share a similar vision: to produce and distribute high-quality, value-oriented, animated programs.

Bios

John T. Douglas is the visionary behind SARA AND THE STARFISH and STARFISH COVE 3D and the guiding hand that oversees virtually every aspect of production. Mr. Douglas formed Grand Design Productions, Inc. in 2001 and serves as CEO and Head of Production Operations working as a writer, director, actor, editor and composer. Mr. Douglas has spent years nurturing his vision, developing characters and stories and forming a coalition of talented animators, musicians, artists and industry professionals who share his passion for creating fresh, wholesome, vibrant and relevant entertainment properties. Mr. Douglas has enjoyed a long, illustrious and multi-faceted career yielding decades of achievement and possesses a remarkable aptitude for creative endeavor, a quality that serves him well in his capacity as CEO of GDP INC.
